On August 11th, there was a meeting of professionals in the field of higher education of IT with the Education Committee Kharkiv IT Cluster, which was attended by representatives of SEMIT department of NTU “KhPI”.
The main purpose of the meeting was the development of joint projects of Kharkiv IT Cluster for inclusion in the Action Plan of 2016-2017 academic year, which will contribute to the successful cooperation of IT businesses and high school in Kharkiv. During the meeting, participants discussed the key points of the list competences for master of information technology and the content of curriculum, which will maximally contribute to the data formation of competences. The importance of real cases from companies embedded in the training was emphasized and the need for constant adjustment and updating of content and disciplines.
These initiatives will be implemented at the SEMIT department of NTU “KhPI” within the project ERASMUS+ MASTIS “Creation of modern master’s program in the field of information systems” (http://mastis.pro/), for the realization of which first steps has already been made – starting from this academic year, masters of the department will study in the conditions the dual approach towards education.
Besides, the successful implementation of the project provides the dissemination of experience to other universities and active cooperation with universities and IT-associations in Europe.
